1. Services Covered
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Grit+Grace K9, including but not limited to private training packages, virtual sessions, group (semi-private) training, educational content, community membership, and any related consultations or events.
2. Training Results & No Guarantees
Dog training involves living animals and real-world variables. While professional instruction and coaching are provided, no guarantee is made regarding specific behavior outcomes. Results depend on the dog’s history, health, environment, and the client’s consistency and follow-through.
3. Owner Responsibility & Handling
Clients agree to follow all safety instructions and handling guidance provided by Grit+Grace K9. Clients remain responsible for their dog at all times, including maintaining control, using appropriate equipment, and preventing unsafe interactions with people or other dogs.
4. Disclosure of Behavior History
Clients must disclose any known bite history, aggression, reactivity, or other behavioral concerns prior to training. Failure to disclose such information may result in immediate termination of services for safety reasons.
5. Health, Flea/Tick Prevention & Vaccinations
Clients certify that their dog is in suitable health to participate in services. For group services, Grit+Grace K9 may require proof of vaccinations and reserves the right to deny participation if a dog appears ill, contagious, or unsafe for the group environment.
6. Safety, Removal & Termination
Grit+Grace K9 reserves the right to refuse service or remove any dog from training if, in professional judgment, the dog poses a safety risk to the trainer, client, public, or other dogs. If services are terminated for safety reasons, refunds or credits (if any) are handled in accordance with the Refund Policy below.
7. Assumption of Risk
Client understands that dog training and group environments carry inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, collisions, falls, property damage, and injury to dogs or people. Client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation.
8. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Client releases and holds harmless Grit+Grace K9, its owner, contractors, assistants, and affiliates from any claims, demands, actions, or liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in services, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Indemnification
Client agrees to indemnify and defend Grit+Grace K9 against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from the Client’s dog, Client’s actions, or Client’s breach of these Terms.
10. Payments, Packages & Session Expiration
Payment is due at booking or as stated at purchase. Training packages are intended to be used consistently to support progress. Unless otherwise stated on the product page, package hours must be used within six (6) months of purchase or may expire and be forfeited. Packages are not transferable to another dog or another person without written approval from Grit+Grace K9.
11. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Clients must provide at least twenty-four (24) hours notice to reschedule a private or virtual session. Late cancellations or no-shows may be counted as a used session or hour. For group sessions, missed sessions are not guaranteed to be made up due to limited availability and group structure.
12. Refund Policy
Because time and scheduling are reserved and services are delivered through professional expertise, completed services are non-refundable. If a package is canceled before any sessions are used, Grit+Grace K9 may, at its discretion, offer a partial refund or credit minus an administrative fee. If services are terminated due to safety concerns or noncompliance with these Terms, refunds or credits are not guaranteed.
13. Lateness
If a client arrives late, the session may still end at the scheduled time in order to respect subsequent appointments. Repeated or chronic lateness may result in rescheduling requirements or termination of services.
14. Equipment
Clients agree to use appropriate training equipment as recommended for safety and effectiveness. Grit+Grace K9 reserves the right to refuse to train a dog using unsafe, broken, or inappropriate equipment.
15. Community Membership & Conduct
If a training package includes community membership or access to private content, the client agrees to respectful conduct. Harassment, hate speech, threats, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the community without refund.
16. Media Release (Optional)
Client grants permission for Grit+Grace K9 to use photos or videos taken during sessions for educational or promotional purposes unless the client opts out in writing prior to services beginning.
17. Virtual Services Disclaimer
Virtual training provides education and coaching; however, the client remains fully responsible for safe handling and their training environment. Client agrees to follow safety guidance and acknowledges the limitations of remote observation.
18. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within Pennsylvania unless otherwise required by law.
19. Updates to These Terms
Grit+Grace K9 may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
